Vibroacoustic Therapy

Vibroacoustic therapy (VAT) is a non-invasive wellness modality that uses low-frequency sound vibrations to promote relaxation and support nervous system regulation.

How it works

The system delivers low-frequency sound waves—often in the range of 20–120 Hz—that create gentle vibrations throughout the body.

These vibrations may, or may not be, paired with music to create a deeply relaxing sensory experience.

The goal is not to "heal" the body, but to create conditions that may support:

  • Deep relaxation

  • Reduced physical tension

  • Nervous system downregulation

  • Improved body awareness

  • A greater sense of calm and wellbeing

Many people describe the experience as feeling like a gentle internal massage.

Potential benefits

Although research is still evolving, studies suggest vibroacoustic therapy may help support:

  • Stress reduction

  • Relaxation and improved sleep quality

  • Temporary relief of muscle tension and stiffness

  • Reduced perception of pain in some individuals

  • Reduced anxiety in certain settings

  • Improved mood and overall wellbeing

The evidence is strongest for relaxation, some pain conditions, and anxiety reduction, while more research

is needed for many other proposed benefits.

What a session feels like

Most sessions last 20–60 minutes.

You'll remain fully clothed while lying comfortably as you experience subtle vibrations

moving through different areas of the body.

People often notice:

  • A slowing of the breath

  • Muscles softening

  • A feeling of heaviness or grounding

  • Increased body awareness

  • Deep relaxation, sometimes even falling asleep

Some people also report emotional responses, although these experiences vary widely and are not considered a necessary or expected outcome.

What Client’s Are Saying…..

“I had an amazing experience with Sylvia Keller at The Wellness Haus. I’d never tried a sound bed before, but it was truly so comfortable and relaxing and healing, like the most luxurious I’ve ever imagined. When I arrived, I was very stressed and I had a lot of important decisions on my mind. My time on the sound bed was completely customized to me, melted my stress, calmed my overthinking mind, and helped me get a little clarity. Though I don’t understand how it all worked, somehow I left feeling encouraged, more decisive, inspired to make the changes I needed to make, and overall just better.

Sylvia’s energy is so warm and intuitive. She has such a healing gift! It was easy to trust her knowledge of the body and its innate capabilities, as well as her expertise to fine tune my experience, so I could just relax in her beautiful space and let my body respond. Sylvia is a gem and I highly recommend an experience with her!” - Stacey Woods, Former Client
